    • Please take note of the following advice before installing the update:

      • We strongly recommend using the 'STARFACE Archivierung' module to reduce the size of the caller lists if you are updating from STARFACE Version 5.x or lower.
      • The installation of the update can take up to 2 hours, depending on the installed hardware and/or system resources and the amount of data contained in the database.
      • MP3 files are no longer permitted as custom ringtones and notification alerts for the UCC Client for Windows. Please convert these to WAV files to retain compatibility with the client. Any existing MP3 files need to be converted.
      • The .NET framework 4.5 must be installed before installing the UCC Client for Windows via the MSI package.
      • When upgrading from a version older than 5.6, it is necessary to update to version 5.6 or 5.8 prior to upgrading to version 6.1.
      • If any of the following settings have been altered, please redo them after updating as they will be over-written: 'authuser' in the line configuration, the register line, or the 'host' setting for an M-net provider profile.

      STARFACE PBX/General new features

      • The status of the system can now be monitored in the System Status tab of the Administration panel. This can be used to monitor the system and perform trouble-shooting and analysis of issues. It is composed of Reports, System Summary, Utilization and Log Data.
      • The preferred number display format (International, National, Subscriber) on telephones, the UCC Clients und in the WebGUI
      • The function of a telephone number is now displayed as an icon in the configuration menu for telephones. Ringing can now only be enabled and disabled for user and group telephone numbers
      • The UCC Client for Mac has been optically improved, can now be docked into a single window and has has new functions added
      • The configuration option 'maximum connections' for lines now restricts the amount of simultaneous calls on the line.
      • The display of caller-ids can now be individually configured with various elements such as caller name, caller number, called number and free-text fields
