hello,
after downloading starface 5.5 I run the installation boot
everything goes well, however after creating partitions installation said:
the installer has tried to mount image #1 but cannot find it on the hard drive

Did you burn the ISO to DVD? If tried to install it via a flash drive you need some additional changes which can be found in the wiki:
http://wiki.starface.de/index.php/Bootfähigen_USB-Stick_erstellenSadly its just in german but maybe you'll get it.

Offensichtlich bist du betroffen:
Bei Modellen dieser Serien tritt in seltenen Fällen eine Kernel-Panic während des Reboot auf. Die Ursache liegt in der veralteten BIOS-Version S0101 der damals verbauten Mainboards. Ein Update des BIOS behebt dieses Problem.
